I'm Nishaka Avindya, an SEO Specialist based in Kadawatha, Sri Lanka, currently Search Engine Optimization Specialist at Trident Media Works. I've worked in search since 2024.
How I work
I build SEO tooling in Google Apps Script so that repetitive audits and reporting run themselves rather than eating a day each month. Crawl data, entity monitoring, and keyword intent mapping all live in Google Sheets, scripted end to end.
Technical SEO is the part I like most — fixing one issue usually uncovers more buried underneath it. On-page, the draw is the opposite: working out what a searcher actually wants and whether the page answers it.
Day to day I work in Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog, with Google Apps Script for automation and enough HTML and CSS to verify that recommendations were implemented the way they were specified.
Working with me
Alongside my full-time role I take on a small number of client projects, remotely, for businesses in Sri Lanka and abroad. Most of that work is technical and on-page SEO, with AI search visibility and local SEO for businesses that need them. I test the same methods on this site first, and the results are public.
